Hello and Welcome,

Are you really interested in finding out on a deeper level what makes you feel joyful and what’s going on to make you feel miserable? If so, then this is the man and here is the book for your own personal self-discovery, not someone else’s but yours. Here is your opportunity to truly find out the truth of who you are and have meaning and purpose in your existence. You are not your mind and you are certainly not your thoughts.

Please enjoy this review of an incredible book, as people just like you and me pose relevant questions to Mooji, and he, in turn, asks them the questions that challenge their old beliefs and ignite new ones. Releasing their own personal intuitive understanding of everything that each one of us intrinsically knows, but has forgotten.

“Step into the fire of self-discovery. This fire will not burn you, it will only burn what you are not.”

Mooji books ‘ Before I Am’ is a collection of dialogues between Mooji and real people just like you and me who have taken the spiritual path and are seeking answers to enable them to obtain Peace Truth And Freedom. The teachings of Mooji transcends the psychological realms and delves deeply into the self-inquiry of one’s beingness and oneness with all of creation, to overcome each humans illusions of separateness and to arrive at a place of total non-duality.

Mooji responds to his followers as they speak of their fears, their suffering, confusion and their relationships which all seem to be universal in today’s society. He explains by way of spiritual practices the ways to live a life of peace and to be free from suffering, transcending their limitations and falsehoods of the mind. To let go of the non-existential traps of past and future imaginings that are a constant in the world of the ego.

“You need nothing to be happy. You need something to be sad

He is sometimes humorous and tender, often sharp, but always loving and compassionate. His constant probing by way of questioning the emotions and thought patterns invite you to challenge your limited beliefs so you yourself can experience the fullness and stillness of your being.

His devotion to his followers is unquestionable as he brings each seeker to a place of individual truth and understanding, knowing the journey has no destination.

This, the second edition is an updated version of the first release offering 100 new pages of material and new thought-provoking quotes along with his own very exquisite and unique brush paintings.

‘Before I Am’ the second edition shreds you like an unwavering sharp knife that cuts the mind open and leaves you naked and childlike as your own true self

“If you take yourself to be the body and mind only, you will die! When you discover yourself as awareness, the fear of death will not trouble you any longer.”

  5. Hi again, your new article on Mooji “BEFORE I AM-THE PRACTICE OF SELF INQUIRY” is very informative. I have only known about Mooji through your interesting posts. The more I read your articles, the more I feel that Mooji is almost like a modern day “Scorates” (no insult intended, if I am wrong, so forgive me) in how he teaches his followers about searching within themselves for awareness of themselves.

I enjoyed the video and the background music. I also see from the reviews of readers, how special this “spiritual” leader is. Have you personally attended his teachings? What does Mooji teach that is different from other “spiritual” leaders?

Forgive my ignorance, he does sound like a fascinating figure.

    1. Hello there,

Lovely to hear from you and your thoughts. Mooji is still gaining momentum so I understand you may have not heard from him before. I have never physically attended his teaching but I am an avid listener on youtube. Your comparison to Socrates is an interesting one and I’ll leave that to you to decide that for yourself,

There’s no wrong or right here. i feel his teachings are different simply because of the tremendous focus on self-inquiry and the fact that he just keeps digging until that aha moment.

I hope you continue to be interested and ask questions, of my reviews and they are most welcome here

      Blessing Paul

Most people are not even aware of the dysfunctional ways that they act. So even just knowing we have options is a great place to start. Knowing why we do the things we do that aren’t beneficial and knowing we have choices is the beginning of a new way of life. Though it won’t happen overnight we all need to begin somewhere. Right here and now is a great beginning.

So look forward to having you here again Fortune, drop by anytime for some inspiration to spice up your life

    1. Hi Nasrin,

Great to hear from you again, always nice to see you here.

Mooji’s book is a flurry of truths that immediately have you questioning many things about the way you think and how you should live. It is an escape route from the everyday simplistic non-truths that our mind conjures up for us. You have a great understanding of his work which shows in both your comment and your attitude to his work.

Suffering, fear and confusion… what a nasty little trio they are. Mooji shows you how to move beyond these and push forward on your road to truth and peace.
