My Dear Friend…
Welcome to my Complete Guide For Affirmations. Affirmations are tools that I have used with great success. When used correctly, constantly and with discipline, they are the starting point for colossus change in your thinking and ultimately your whole world.
Affirmations can and will provide us with a direct path to our subconscious mind. I’m sure we are all familiar with the words of Earl Nightingale.
” We Become What We Think About All Day Long “
A simple yet profound statement of a Universal Truth. In comprehending these words it’s important to then understand the twofold process, that we not only become what we think about, but we attract into our life what we think about all day long.
Most of us not only think about, but communicate with others using words and phrases that promote our beliefs about everything that has, is, and will go wrong. We spend our time thinking and talking about everything we don’t want to happen in our lives. Our minds just randomly and continually return to a past event, and remembers with regret or look at a future that fills us with fear.
If you are not aware you are doing this, it has become a normality in your life and is the most detrimental of habit.
So What Can We Do To Turn Things Around?
I know that affirmations can be the starting point for continuing and long-term change. First, we become aware of our negative thinking and put into practise new empowering thoughts of who we truly are and what we truly want.
Whatever You Believe Is True For You
Although sometimes you’ll hear people say affirmations don’t work for them, It has been my experience that when I become aware that I am persistently experiencing one negative thought after another, and I begin to cancel those thoughts with positive affirmations, I can begin to turn around my thinking one thought at a time.
By disciplining myself and constantly using positive affirmations I have been able to turn my life around.
At first, we can simply take some time each day to use affirmations to interrupt and disrupt those negative thoughts. As we become more aware we will notice that at the end of our affirmation exercise our negative thoughts begin to take over again, just like clockwork. This is quite normal.
At this stage though, we can decide to become more serious, and not only interrupt the negative thoughts but actually move to a higher ground and begin to gain further strength, by imposing a new belief system over our mind by incorporating both visualization and emotion. And we do this in 3 easy steps.
- First of all, we say the affirmation and actually visualise it.
- Then we harness some emotion and feel exactly what this new truth feels like.
- Then we show our belief in the affirmation by feeling grateful and giving thanks for this truth coming into being.
So we paint a vivid picture in our mind, then we conjure up all the emotion and feeling we ca. We complete its reality by being grateful and giving appreciation and thanks for its fruition.
Now that we know how to do affirmations and understand their power for change, we are ready to go. In the next few days, I will be carefully selecting affirmations that are in line with every area of our lives and are also in alignment with our goal setting.
I’m really excited as we continue this journey and would love to hear of your experiences with affirmations, and if some of you have, or are using any current affirmations that you’d like to share please feel free to comment below.
Thanks As Always
